Abstract:
India-Pakistan relations have been fraught with tension since the partition of British India in 1947, which led to the creation of two separate states. The primary sources of conflict include territorial disputes over Kashmir, cross-border terrorism, and military skirmishes. Both countries have fought multiple wars and engaged in numerous standoffs, often leading to international concern due to their nuclear capabilities. Despite periodic attempts at peace talks and confidence-building measures, incidents of violence and political rhetoric frequently derail progress. The dynamics of India-Pakistan relations significantly impact regional stability in South Asia, influence global security policies, and affect the lives of millions in both nations.
