Abstract:
Latin American politics are characterized by a diverse range of governance systems, economic conditions, and social movements. The region has seen significant political shifts, with the rise of populist leaders, democratic backsliding, and persistent issues of corruption and inequality. Key countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, and Venezuela play pivotal roles in regional dynamics. Social issues, including indigenous rights, environmental protection, and public security, remain prominent. Additionally, Latin American countries face challenges related to economic instability, external debt, and the influence of external powers such as the United States and China. Understanding Latin American politics requires an appreciation of the historical context, cultural diversity, and ongoing struggles for social justice.
